things i would regret...so i grew up believing (seeing is believing)  that some things (most things)  cannot be fixed   
the best you can hope for is a clean break   
i have broken many things  i have never felt clean   
the first fifteen years  blindly wrapping myself in bandages  the next six  soaking them off with alcohol  and the three after that  having salt rubbed into open wounds   
the last four (and a half)  i don't know (i don't know what i don't know)   
so much time spent hitting my head against the wall  (hitting my wrists against anything solid and sharp things i would regret...

Who are you?
I'm Tanya, AKA ^RockstarVanity.

What's MomentarySolutions all about?
This is an account made for poetry and lyrics that I write. I've been writing stuff like this since...well, forever really. I don't think of myself as a writer and I don't want anyone to waste their time or effort leaving detailed critiques cause I'm really not here to improve with advice (hence the 'Critique Not Desired' setting).

If critique isn't desired, why bother submitting writing?
My writing has lived in notebooks, on the backs of old envelopes and receipts, in the depths of numerous computers for years, but I've rarely shown it to anyone because I don't write for the sake of creating art, I write to get stuff out of my head. Sometimes I put poetry or lyrics in the descriptions of photographs I submit to DA, and a few people suggested submitting the writing as deviations in their own right. I'd like to hear what people think of stuff I write, what their interpretations they have of it and all that stuff...I guess I just want to share it.

What's the inspiration behind all these ramblings?
People I know, people I've known, people I've been, people I've never met, things I've seen on tv or in movies, books I've read...loads of stuff really. I don't write big deep meaningful poems or songs, I write little verbal snapshots and most of it isn't nearly as personal or directly related to my own life as it might seem.

Why the name?
It's from something I wrote a few years ago that stuck in my head, and it sums up why I write - to get things out of my brain and onto paper, to clear my head, to make myself feel better in a small way for a little while or to have a small moment of creativity when I need one.

Is all this recent writing?
No. Some of it is over ten years old, some of it is very recent.

Why the alphabetical order in the gallery?
Since the majority of the poems can't be placed in order of when they were written, I figured alphabetical order was a sensible way to arrange the whole lot. It bugged me to have the older ones in alphabetical order and the new ones stuck at the top. OCD rules my galleries on dA.

Why don't you interact very much on this account?
On ^RockstarVanity, I spend a worryingly long time commenting on other people's work, floating around the forums, reading and responding to news articles etc. I generally don't interact much on my stock account and I don't plan to interact much on this one. If I want to watch someone, I'll do it on my main account. I will however always reply to comments left here.

What's in the Scraps gallery?
My Scraps gallery here contains works in progress, little snippets that pop out of my head and need to be written down, generally things that aren't complete yet (or maybe never will be).

If you have any other questions that you'd like answered, leave them here in comments or note me and I'll add them, along with answers, to this FAQ. I'm not going to be blogging here, so an FAQ is probably all this journal will ever be.
